My Husband's Serving Overseas

For 16 years he played Army one weekend a month and two weeks a year. Then on 9/11 he came home, silently went upstairs and dragged his gear down from the 3rd floor, expecting the call that evening, I guess. That's when it hit me, "Oh, now I get it..."

Deb, quick update: all is going well here downrange. Had a meeting before we came down concerning our departure time back to the states and found that we had more question or things unanswered than we had when we started. It was like Clinton answering grand jury questions as we had no firm date. CA really seems out of the picture and I do not think that I will be buying advance tickets to Quad State Roundup as I may not be home for my birthday. At least I am not planning on it. There is too many things in the way right now and I know that it goes against your sense of planning, but you will have to be patient in this venture. I hope that both kids are doing well; when I see the way these kids are living it breaks your heart. This is the real hard scrabble life. I hope that you are getting bids for the house. I will be in the shadow for comms for a while. I love you all and will send home another instant camera and you can get it developed but the deal is that it cannot be posted on the blog site. Love you all and will try to stay in comms when possible and will send the snail mail as it will occupy some time LOVE CHRIS
